The variety possesses premium fiber quality, including micronaire values approximately 0.5 units lower than those of the ST 474 variety. In studies, the variety was considered promising regarding its response to Verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae).

This cotton has been actively used in comparative trials of various cultivation systems, including ultra-narrow row spacing.
