The variety is late-maturing with a vegetation period of about 125 days. Plants possess broad leaves, the presence of nectaries, and fuzzy seeds. The fiber turnout is 31–35%, fiber length varies within the range of 1.00–1.10 inches, strength is 85,000–93,000 PSI, micronaire fineness is about 3.70, and uniformity index is 41–45%.
The variety exhibits resistance to bacterial blight race 1 and in several studies is noted as resistant to cotton leaf curl virus due to a high cuticular wax content, however, in other sources it is classified as susceptible to diseases.
The primary purpose is fiber production and use as a parental line in hybridization to improve yield and study drought tolerance traits and quantitative genetics.
