The variety is the result of crossing lines Coker 201 and PD 2165. The plant is characterized by medium height, stable maturity, and the presence of relatively small bolls.

The variety possesses tolerance to Fusarium wilt and a certain degree of resistance to root-knot nematodes. The variety's fiber is distinguished by increased strength with a relatively short staple length.
