The variety is intended for traditional agricultural cultivation for fiber production. In scientific literature, it often appears in comparative trials with other varieties to evaluate responses to abiotic stresses, such as moisture deficiency.

Morphologically, the variety is characterized by a certain density of trichomes (leaf pubescence), which influences its interaction with cotton aphids.
