The line was obtained by hybridizing lines No. 650 and No. 217, which originate from Russian varieties. It is characterized by early maturity and high combining ability, which allows its use in breeding programs for producing hybrids with high yield and oil content.
The plant possesses genetic and morphological uniformity. The line is resistant to broomrape (Orobanche cumana) up to race F, and also displays moderate resistance to phoma, alternaria, and phomopsis.
