The sunflower hybrid Avalon (NS 6046) belongs to the mid-early group; its growing season ranges from 97 to 115 days. Plant height varies within 165–185 cm. The hybrid is intended for cultivation using classical technology.

The plant possesses high resistance to broomrape races A–G+ and tolerance to major diseases: rust, Phomopsis, Phoma, Alternaria, downy mildew, Septoria, as well as white, grey, and charcoal rot. It exhibits drought tolerance and resistance to shattering.

The crop's yield potential reaches 5.3 t/ha with a seed oil content of 48–52%.
