The variety was obtained as a result of many years of breeding work, which included the creation of F2 populations based on commercial hybrids. In the process of breeding, selection of pollinator lines, lines with male sterility, and fertility restorer lines was carried out, with one of the key tasks being the creation of genotypes with a shortened biological cycle.
In scientific research, Ausonia is considered as promising genetic material with interesting productivity indicators, along with other genotypes developed within the framework of the program for the improvement of industrial crops.
