Barolo is a tall plant with no branching and strong pubescence of the stem in the upper part. The head is large, convex in shape, and directed downwards at maturity. Achenes are small or medium in size, oval-elongated, black with grey marginal stripes.
The hybrid is characterized by a high fat content in the seeds, reaching 53.2%. The variety shows moderate resistance to downy mildew and white rot, while being susceptible to phomopsis and broomrape.
The plant is adapted to various climatic conditions, including arid ones, and is suitable for use in technologies with minimum and zero tillage, as well as the Clearfield system.
