The hybrid is a high-oleic sunflower studied within the framework of Italian agricultural projects. Research has shown that the hybrid's yield is higher when provided with a sufficient level of moisture and irrigation, typical of northeastern Italy.
The plant height of this hybrid responds positively to the application of nitrogen fertilizers. However, under arid conditions, nitrogen application does not significantly contribute to yield increases. The hybrid's seed oil was used in laboratory studies of the transesterification process for biodiesel production.
