The designation CMS PEREDOVIK refers to a genetic form of cytoplasmic male sterility identified in the Peredovik variety. Plants with this type of sterility do not form functional pollen and serve as a female component in the creation of sunflower hybrids.
The original variety Peredovik is a classic oilseed variety, bred by VNIIMK. It is characterized by an oil content of more than 50 percent and genetic resistance to certain races of Orobanche, which made it a significant object for global breeding and scientific work.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
