Fortal belongs to the group of mid-early hybrids with a vegetation period of about 110 days. Plants reach a height of 170–190 cm. The hybrid is an oilseed type and is intended for cultivation using the Express technology, which involves the use of herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl.
The plant possesses high resistance to lodging and drought conditions. It has genetic resistance to broomrape races A-F+, as well as high immunity to a complex of diseases, including rust, phomopsis, powdery mildew, gray rot, and white rot.
The hybrid seeds are characterized by an oil content in the range of 48–51%. The oil type is linoleic.
