Fortanes SU is a mid-early maturity linoleic sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation using SU technology under sulfonylurea herbicides. The plants are characterized by high stature and high lodging resistance.
The oil content in the seeds is 49–51%. The hybrid possesses high adaptability to arid and hot conditions, resistance to Orobanche races A–G, and complex tolerance to downy mildew, phoma, phomopsis, and sclerotinia. The plant responds well to extensive and moderately intensive cultivation technologies.
