The line was obtained through selection from VNIIMK 8883 breeding material. It is intended for use in breeding programs as a maintainer line or as a crossing component for creating hybrids.
The plant possesses stably high resistance to Sclerotinia (basal stem rot) caused by the fungus Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Morphologically, the line is characterized by a significant number of leaves compared to other inbred sunflower lines.
