The mid-ripening hybrid Grand Star 50 has a vegetation period of 108–112 days and a plant height of 165–170 cm. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to lodging and genetic resistance to all races of downy mildew.
The plant possesses high resistance to diseases, including Sclerotinia, Phomopsis, Phoma and rust, and also exhibits tolerance to aggressive races of broomrape. The oil content in the seeds is 49–52%.
The hybrid is adapted to the «Express» production technology, which ensures resistance to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl at an application rate of 50 g/ha.
