The IN 5844 imi hybrid is a representative of the Helianthus annuus crop. The documentation contains indications of the possible Romanian origin of this breeding series.
During agrotechnical trials conducted in 2007–2008, seed yield and oil yield indicators were recorded, which proved to be lower than the results of local standards and other tested hybrids.
