The line is characterized by a heart-shaped leaf with a serrated margin and moderate roughness. A distinctive morphological trait is the absence of anthocyanins on the pistil stigma.
The breeding material possesses resistance to downy mildew (race 770) and imidazolinone herbicides, which distinguishes it from the USDA RHA274 line.
