The line is used in breeding programs to create high-oleic hybrids that possess resistance to sulfonylurea herbicides, specifically to tribenuron-methyl.

Hybrid combinations involving this line are capable of reaching an oleic acid content in the oil of 90.54–91.04%. Studies confirm the line's resistance to downy mildew.
