The line was obtained by experimental mutagenesis methods via seed treatment with dimethyl sulfate. It is not intended for commercial cultivation and serves as a genetic resource for breeding.
The plant is used as a component for creating forms with controlled fatty acid content, in particular, to increase the proportion of linoleic acid to 70.5–70.8%. The line is also used in research on resistance to diseases, such as downy mildew.
