Sunflower Lakaren SU is a simple hybrid with a vegetation period of approximately 109 days, with the period from emergence to flowering being 69 days. Plants reach a height of 170–180 cm and possess uniformity in height and maturity. The heads are convex in shape, semi-pendulous, and reach a diameter of 22–24 cm.
The hybrid's seeds are characterized by a thousand kernel weight of 50 to 80 g, a hull content of 20–23%, and a shellability of 99%. Oil content in seeds is 49–51%. The yield potential of the hybrid reaches 52 c/ha, and in competitive trials, the figures were 35 c/ha.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to downy mildew and genetic resistance to broomrape (races A-G or 7+ races). It is distinguished by drought tolerance, cold tolerance, and lodging resistance. Vigorous growth during the initial development stages ensures competitiveness against weeds. Intended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.
