The line was derived from experimental hybrid No. 23 via self-pollination, chemical treatment, and selection. It is used as a component for producing new hybrids, including those developed using Clearfield Plus technology.
The line is characterized by good general and specific combining ability. It possesses genetic resistance to broomrape race G and also exhibits moderate resistance to phoma black stem, alternaria leaf spot, and phomopsis.
