Helianthus annuus L. Sunflower · Agricultural · bred by ADVANTA SEMILLAS SAIC

Variety description

10 August 2026

The Nutrisun technology allows for the production of sunflower oil containing approximately 18% stearic acid and 70–72% oleic acid. This product is stable at room temperature and serves as an alternative to palm oil or hydrogenated fats in the food industry, including the production of margarines, confectionery, and frying products.

Hybrids of this line are obtained through traditional breeding methods without the use of GMOs. Since Nutrisun is a technology brand rather than a specific variety, it is applied in various hybrids adapted to different growing conditions. The production of such products is usually carried out under a contract system to maintain the purity of the oil composition.
