The RHA-18 line is used in breeding programs to study the genetic control of oleic and linoleic acid content, as well as to evaluate combining ability. This line is not presented as an independent variety in modern commercial seed catalogs.
In scientific studies of the 1980s, high susceptibility of the line to broomrape (Orobanche spp.) was noted. Physical seed characteristic indicators were also recorded; in particular, the test weight was 34.15 kg.
