The Sevar hybrid is an oilseed sunflower hybrid obtained by the interline hybridization method. Line 807A with cytoplasmic male sterility is used as the female parent, while the male line 509R was created using in vitro methods.
The plant is a two-line single-cross hybrid. The parental lines are characterized by resistance to economically significant diseases and broomrape races A–F.
