The subject is a maintainer line of the linoleic oil type. The genetic basis of the line's sterile analog is based on CMS PET1 cytoplasmic male sterility.
The pedigree method was used in breeding the line by crossing lines T0511LG and U0586LG. The main objectives of the selection were to create a short-stature plant, early flowering times, and an increase in oil content and yield in the resulting hybrid combinations.
