The VD 354 line is specialized breeding material, not a variety for commercial production. It serves as a maintainer line for sterility when creating confectionery-type sunflower hybrids.
Plants of this line reach a height of approximately 104 cm. In breeding programs, the material is used to improve seed large-size indicators and hullability, as well as in research on the identification of molecular genetic markers of the CMS system.
