The variety belongs to the group of classic high-oil varieties and has been used as source material for breeding in various countries. Seed oil content varied from 40–41 % to 50–52 % depending on the stages of variety renewal.
The plant possesses resistance to race B of broomrape and also exhibits resistance to rust and sunflower moth. In modern practice, the variety is considered an object of breeding history and a source of valuable traits for the creation of new sunflower lines.
