The line was created at the All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops and became known as the source material for producing mutants with an altered fatty acid composition of the oil. In particular, the «Первенец» variety, which has a high oleic acid content, was developed based on this variety.
In scientific publications, the line is considered an object of breeding research. It is characterized by susceptibility to certain diseases, such as white rot (Sclerotinia), and was also studied for its specific response to soil salinity during seed germination.
