The hybrid is characterized by high genetic resistance to broomrape (5–7+ races) and tolerance to major diseases. The oil content of the seeds is 46–50%. The plants are adapted for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones.
There are modifications of the hybrid intended for different protection systems: YeS Fortem IMI is adapted to Clearfield technology, and YeS Fortem Sulfo is resistant to sulfonylurea herbicides.
