Variety description

The plant forms a compact, squat bush with woolly or felted leaves. Flowering occurs during the spring-summer period. The inflorescences are dense buds that, upon opening, turn into papery flowers of a berry hue.
The variety possesses high drought tolerance and tolerates poor, well-drained soils; it is resistant to coastal conditions. It belongs to USDA hardiness zones 8–10, withstanding temperature drops to -7...-12°C.
The plant is used as an ornamental for growing in containers, bordering, and the foreground of flower beds. Due to the ability to retain shape and color after drying, the inflorescences are used in creating floral arrangements.
