Variety description

The plant forms a compact dense bush 15 to 30 cm in height. Foliage is evergreen, leathery, dark green, and palmately divided. The variety is characterized by early flowering, which can begin in November and continue until spring.

Large, simple, cup-shaped flowers face outward and are pure white with golden stamens, featuring short, dark burgundy flower stalks. Upon cooling, the petals may acquire a pink hue, and in warmth, a pale green one.

The variety prefers partial shade or shade and well-drained fertile soils with a neutral or alkaline reaction. It possesses strong, stable flower stalks, withstands frosts in USDA zones 5–9, and is resistant to browsing by deer and rabbits.
