Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Helleborus niger and Helleborus x sternii. The plant is a compact bush 15–38 cm high with a dense rosette of leathery dark green evergreen leaves.
The buds have a pinkish-red hue, opening into cream-white flowers with a pink reverse that turn deep pink with age. The inflorescences are located on burgundy peduncles and are directed forward or outward.
The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zones 4–8, prefers partial shade or full shade and well-drained moist soils. The variety tolerates transplanting poorly and, under adverse conditions, can be susceptible to leaf spot and crown rot.
