The plant is characterized by compact dimensions, allowing it to be used as a potted crop 30 to 60 cm in height. The variety's scapes have a characteristic purple tint in the lower part.

The flowers are of the single type and are colored a saturated red. In early publications, this variety was also encountered under the name «Andes Fire».
