The variety has bright salmon-pink or apricot flowers with a creamy center. The plant is characterized by a compact structure: the bulbs are smaller than standard ones but form several flower stalks with a large number of flowers on each.

The variety is a cold-hardy hybrid adapted for growing in pots on windowsills, as well as in garden floriculture. Flowering usually occurs in late winter or spring. All parts of the plant contain the alkaloid lycorine and are poisonous.
