The variety is a two-row barley of the early-maturing group. In terms of breeding, it combined short-stemmed habit with resistance to powdery mildew, achieved due to the presence of the mlo-9 mutation.
The grain of the variety is characterized by low protein content, high diastatic power, good viscosity, and a high degree of friability. Currently, the variety retains the status of cultural heritage and is used to a limited extent in craft brewing.
