The Amazon variety is a winter malting barley variety. It is the same variety as Novosadski 565, which was marketed under the trade name Amazon in Hungary and a number of other regions.
The variety is characterized by a high yield potential. In scientific literature, it is mentioned in the context of the institute's breeding activities and comparative analyses of seed quality.
