The variety belongs to two-row spring barley with an early maturity group. It was genetically obtained as a result of crossing (Amazone × Breun St. 2730e) × Kym.

The plant is characterized by high stem strength and lodging resistance. The level of disease resistance is characterized as medium, with susceptibility to net blotch and powdery mildew noted.

The variety possesses high-quality grain with a high content of the fraction larger than 2.5 mm. Currently, it is considered more as an important component in breeding than as a mass commercial variety.
