The variety is a spring two-row barley obtained by crossing the Viskosa and Pasadena varieties. The plant belongs to the nutans variety, has a cylindrical ear of medium density and a semi-erect bush. Plant height ranges from 50 to 60 cm, and the growing season is 90–100 days.
The grain of the variety possesses high extractivity and low protein content; the thousand kernel weight is 44–53 g. The variety shows resistance to lodging, loose and covered smut, net blotch, and root rots, however, it may be susceptible to Helminthosporium diseases.
