ActiveHordeum vulgare L. · Barley
ULRICH and JOSEF BREUN
10 August 2026
The variety was created by identifying and crossing specific variants of the CslF6 gene, in particular cslF6G748D, which allowed for a reduction in β-glucan content in the grain by approximately 50% compared to the parent lines. This solution is aimed at optimizing the wort filtration process and preventing turbidity in the finished beer.
The variety maintains yield indicators and thousand kernel weight at a high level. In available publications, information on classic morphological characteristics, such as plant height, maturity group, as well as data on resistance to diseases and lodging, are absent.
