The variety is a six-row barley of Swedish origin, known in the literature by the breeding number J 38/432. It was actively used in breeding research as a parent form for the development of other varieties.
During comparative trials, the variety demonstrated higher yield, lodging resistance, and resistance to pre-harvest sprouting compared to a number of varieties of the same period. The variety is included in genetic resource databases under the numbers NGB 1488 and NGB 9528.
