The variety was obtained by crossing the parent forms Opal and Venezia. It belongs to the category of feed barley varieties.
In the period from 2011 to 2012, the variety was used as a standard for comparison in field trials in Denmark. In scientific publications, it was considered as an object for studying methods to improve protein digestibility in grain.
