The variety is winter and mid-season. Morphological characteristics of the ear in various publications are described inconsistently, being indicated as either two-row or six-row type.

The plant possesses high drought tolerance and tolerance to major fungal leaf diseases. Under production conditions, yield varies from 5.5 to 9.0 t/ha; in variety trials, indicators exceed the standard.

The grain of the variety is characterized by a high thousand kernel weight and increased protein content. The main purpose of the crop is for use as feed grain.
