The variety belongs to the late-maturing group and is a two-row barley with a hulled grain type. During analysis of amino acid composition, the variety showed high protein content and a reduced risk of contamination with deoxynivalenol produced by fungi of the genus Fusarium.
Regarding diseases, the variety was evaluated for resistance to ramularia leaf spot caused by Ramularia collo-cygni. The level of resistance to cyst nematodes varies from moderately resistant to susceptible depending on the pathotype.
The variety was used in Norwegian conditions primarily as raw material for the production of feed concentrates for livestock.
