The variety belongs to the mid-season group (maturity code S 210). It is a spring form of barley which, during its registration period, was actively used for comparative studies of grain quality and agronomic performance.

Currently, the variety is considered obsolete and is not among the current new breeding releases. Detailed morphological and agronomic data on the variety are contained in the archived issues of the German publication Beschreibende Sortenliste for the years 2002–2012.
