Kucyk is a spring barley variety with medium heading and maturity dates. Stem height is about 81 cm; the variety is characterized by good lodging resistance. The plant is distinguished by its ability to adapt to unfavorable soil conditions, including temporary moisture deficit.
The variety's grain has high density and increased protein content, which ensures good feed digestibility for pigs; the raw material can be used for the production of pearl barley. The variety has high resistance to powdery mildew, net blotch, rust, leaf scald, and spot blotch.
