The variety is a two-row winter malting barley. Plants have moderate straw lodging resistance. The variety shows moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew, brown rust, and Ramularia, and may be susceptible to Rhynchosporium.
The grain of the variety is large, with a low crude protein content, medium to high test weight, and low to medium beta-glucan levels. It is distinguished by good diastatic power and a high proportion of plump grain, which is maintained even under drought conditions.
