The plant possesses complex disease resistance: it exhibits tolerance to barley yellow dwarf virus and barley yellow mosaic virus (pathotypes Y1, Y2). Good resistance to brown rust and rhynchosporium, and moderate resistance to powdery mildew and helminthosporium have also been noted.
