Variety description
10 August 2026
The barley variety Magda (Hordeum vulgare L.) is a spring two-row crop. The variety was registered in the official registers of a number of European countries, including the Czech Republic and Croatia, in the 2000s.
Detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant and grain quality indicators are not detailed in open publications. In modern European registers, the name Magda is often found as part of the trade names of hybrids, for example Smart Magda KWS, which requires distinguishing between the old variety and new breeding developments.
