The variety is winter-type and was bred by crossing parental forms Perga and Sam-Chio 36. In agricultural and genetic research, it is characterized as a subject with high frost resistance and the ability to overwinter in the conditions of Southern Europe.
The scientific significance of the variety lies in its use for studying the mechanisms of accumulation of cold-tolerant proteins, such as COR14a and COR14b, as well as for analyzing the efficiency of resource use under drought conditions. The variety is primarily used in breeding programs and gene mapping work.
