The variety belongs to the very early spring barley maturity group. It is characterized by good resistance to lodging and dwarf rust, as well as resistance to certain isolates of powdery mildew.
The plant may exhibit sensitivity to certain herbicides, particularly those based on triasulfuron and terbutryn, which can cause growth retardation and the death of part of the crop. The variety is classified as fodder and is maintained as a genetic resource object.
