The variety is a winter barley bred at the Center for Small Grains in the city of Kragujevac. In modern agronomic research, it is considered part of the old genetic material and is used for comparative analysis with new lines.
According to morphological and economic traits, the variety belongs to the early-maturing group. During testing, it demonstrated high test weight indicators, reaching an average of 72.68 kg/hl, while yield and thousand kernel weight were rated as average compared to other genotypes.
The purpose of the variety is traditional for the region: use as a fodder crop for animal feed and as raw material for the malting industry. Data on resistance to lodging and specific diseases are absent in available publications.
